MeterRound Support
Write to [email protected]. Include the app version, Android version, device model, steps that led to the problem and the exact error text. Share screenshots or sample files only after removing personal information. Do not email complete backups, device credentials or backup passwords unless an appropriate secure process has first been agreed. Is MeterRound available on Google Play?+
As of 7 October 2026, MeterRound 0.4.3 is being prepared for public release on Google Play. The app is not yet publicly available in the store. We will add the store link after it is published.
Does it work without an account or Internet?+
Yes, local recording is intended for one person on one Android device and does not require a MeterRound account. OCR and barcode evaluation run on the device. Purchases, subscription checks and restoration use Google Play. ML Kit can process technical telemetry through Google Play services. There is no MeterRound cloud storage or team sync. The Privacy Policy explains the details.
What is included in Free and Pro?+
Free: one property and five meters in total, including archived entries, basic readings, overview, CSV export, seven languages and backups. Pro: properties and meters beyond these limits, photos, OCR, CSV import and new PDF reports. Pro is intended as a monthly or yearly Google Play subscription. The price and period are displayed before ordering. Losing Pro does not delete work data or block existing PDFs or export.
Which languages can I use?+
Version 0.4.3 supports Croatian, English, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Polish. Choose the language under Settings → Display → Language. Croatian is the default. User-entered text, units and serial numbers are not translated. Android system dialogs follow the system language.
How do I back up and move my data?+
Open Settings → Backup, create a backup and choose a location outside the app. Select password protection when required and retain that password securely. An unencrypted backup contains readable data. Confirm that the file is accessible at its destination. Restore replaces the current data set; it does not merge it. Back up the current data before restoring another copy. Use version 0.3.0 or a newer compatible version for backups containing the new languages; downgrading is not supported.
Can support recover lost records or a forgotten password?+
We cannot access a server copy of your local records because MeterRound does not upload them to us. Recovery depends on a usable backup you still hold. We cannot recover a forgotten encrypted-backup password. For the device PIN, pattern or password, follow your device manufacturer's recovery instructions.
Why is an OCR result wrong or a code not recognised?+
Recognition can fail with glare, blur, poor framing or an unusual display. Use a clear image and check the result against the physical meter. Correct it manually before saving. Recognition is assistance, not a guarantee of a correct reading.
What is the difference between a report and a backup?+
PDF and CSV are exports for reviewing or sharing readings; they are not complete recovery files or cost statements. CSV does not include photos. A backup includes the app's work data and attachments for restoration. Review report options and recipients before sharing.
How do I delete data?+
The maintenance function for deleting all work data keeps your profile and settings. To reset all local app data, clear MeterRound's storage in Android settings or uninstall it. Separately delete exported files, gallery copies and backups from their own locations. Data already sent to another recipient cannot be recalled by MeterRound.
How does the app lock work?+
Optional access protection uses the device's existing Android PIN, pattern or password. There is no separate MeterRound PIN. Configure a secure screen lock in Android first. App access protection does not password-encrypt every file or your exported copies.
